A small all volunteer group working to reduce the number of outdoor, feral and community cats by the proven method of Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Release. Operating since fall of 2011, WIFCaP has fixed and vaccinated over 2000 cats in Western Iowa. We have helped over 3000 cats have a better life by helping with medical treatment and relocation as needed.
Literally thousands of litters have been prevented because of the hard work our volunteers do.
Education is key to our mission, as we attempt to show the importance of responsible pet ownership by always spay and neutering your pet. With the absence of low cost spay and neuter clinics in our rural area, we value the help of two local veterinarians that give us low cost prices in order to help more cats.
